Lily Fasbender, an Independent Licensed Agent with the David M. Gilston Insurance Agency, graduated from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel and Business Administration.   After working in the hotel and restaurant industry for 15 years, she decided to begin a new career in the health insurance industry in 2002, at which time she joined the Gilston Agency.

Given the complexities associated with HealthCare Reform, Lily’s role has expanded from simply acting as an Insurance Agent to assuming the role of a true HealthCare Consultant, providing guidance on topics such as the Affordable Care Act taxes and fees, Payroll, ERISA notifications, and general Human Resources Support.  She is committed to educating her clients by providing them with the tools and resources they need to make decisions that best meet their unique needs.

In addition to her duties at the Gilston Agency, Lily, fluent in both English and Spanish, is an active member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), the State of South Carolina Association of Health Underwriters (SCAHU), and the Health Underwriters Political Action Committee (HUPAC).  She is on the board of SCAHU which includes planning yearly conferences, membership and legislative updates, and Medicare education and resources for the State. She has been recognized by NAHU as a member of the Leading Producers Roundtable for two consecutive years.

On a personal level, Lily has two grown children, Lauren and Andrew.  Lauren, a graduate of Clemson, lives in Charlottesville with her husband and son.  Andrew, a graduate of USC, lives in Charleston.  She and her family are active members in their church and enjoy volunteering in their community.
