Can I be an employee of a different agency and still use the services of the Gilston Agency as a broker?

Yes. All agents who work with us are independent agents and hold contracts directly with the carriers.

What is the advantage of becoming an in-house agent?

As an in-house agent, you receive free office space, business cards that recognize you as an independent agent affiliated with the Gilston Agency, and access to additional amenities such as telephones, copiers, secure email, and marketing materials. Occasional meetings are also conducted to keep you up to speed on current events and carrier updates and you are encouraged to attend. The success of our agents is also closely tied to the comradery they experience being a part of a larger organization.

Why do I need the service of an agency at all?
